Lisa has been dancing for 15 years. She and her husband, Mike, started dancing in 2007. The River Oaks School of Dancing called them offering a free dance lesson. They decided a free lesson would be worth a try. They bought a package of three, then 10 and the rest is history. 

Lisa's favorite dance style is Rumba but Mike's best dance is West Coast Swing.

What do you like about being a Goodtimes Dance Club board member? I enjoy using my background in Organizational Development to help sustain and grow the club.



Lisa and Mike have been members of GTDC since 2015. Lisa shared her many talents with the club in the past serving in marketing, newsletter editor, and most recently as Vice President.

For their 25th anniversary, Edwin gave his wife, Linda, dance lessons. They have been dancing for over 18 years now.

His favorite dance is the waltz, though he can't say why, so maybe it's the rumba.

Edwin joined the board because he wanted to help the club. He has enjoyed working with everyone on the board and, laughing, "the pay is great!"

Edwin and Linda joined Goodtimes in 2005. Edwin has been club Treasurer for years.

I started dancing at a young age, but wasn’t until moving to Colorado 8 years ago when I picked it up again. Taking group country couples dance lessons at the Sundance and making many new friends! 

Since being introduced to ballroom dance 3 years ago, tango and the waltz are my favorite to glide across the floor to.

This starts my third season enjoying Goodtimes Dance and big band sound. It’s my first year as a formal member. I’ve joined the Board because I am 100% behind bringing social dance, the music and gracious culture to more generations to enjoy. 

Jennifer is a RN and loved working bedside ICU. She now works in the wellness and health promotion arena- leveraging her clinical and project management skills.

My husband, Edwin, surprised me on our 25th anniversary with dance lessons. We joined Goodtimes Dance Club shortly after that. We've been dancing about 17 years now.

My favorite dance is the Waltz, I like the romantic rhythm. The Waltz is followed closely by the Rumba as my favorite dance.

I joined the GTDC board to use some of my computer skills. I have had a chance to learn more about websites and that is fun. I really enjoy working with the other board members. They support each other.

Linda has been a member of Goodtimes since 2005. She started on the Board in 2020 in time to work with the Board through the decisions around COVID.

I have always loved to dance. After retiring and moving back to Fort Collins, I began looking for opportunities to get involved in dancing again. I discovered the Goodtimes Dance Club online and attended my first club dance in February 2022. That evening introduced me to the world of ballroom dancing, and I was hooked!

Since then, I have taken lessons in both smooth and Latin dance, with the waltz becoming my favorite ballroom dance.

I joined the Goodtimes Dance Club board because I want to help promote ballroom dancing in our community and introduce others to the enjoyment I have found through dance. I especially value Goodtimes because our dances offer a friendly, encouraging, and educational environment where dancers of different ages and experience levels can feel welcome.

For me, Goodtimes is about more than dancing. It is a place to make friends, continue learning, and share a love of ballroom dance with others in our community.

I have been dancing since I was little but ballroom dancing for 12 years. My husband, Steve, decided to do something that scared him, and it was dancing. He signed us up for our first ballroom lesson. We were hooked.

I prefer Latin dances but happy to do a quick foxtrot around the floor.

I like being a board member because I get to be part of keeping the club alive and I get to work with a great bunch of dedicated people on the board who love ballroom dancing as much as I do.

Alissa and her husband, Steve, have been members of GTDC since 2016. She completed 2 years as GTDC President and served as Vice President before that. Currently, Alissa acts as an advisor to the Board. As a non-voting member, she shares her experience leading the board, to guide us as we make decisions impacting the future of the club.
